I need to buy a pipe for my 250R and am considering the FMF Fatty, the FMF SST, and the LRD Adjustable. I'll mainly be trail riding, so i don't need a drag pipe. Which pipe puts out the most power and would be best for me?

For woods riding you want the one with the most low end power. You should also bump up your compression as much as you can for the fule type you choose.

If you do more then just woods riding, the LRD would work great so you could adjust it.

Go with the "LRD"..works great, fits well!I just finished rebuilding my '86 TRX250R(entire machine except motor, compression almost to specs),chose this pipe. Also has great plating job.
Got an improvement of bottom end by setting the pipe for b/e,installing Boysen reeds, large reed spacer, rejetting.
Can't wait til I rebuild motor and port for B/E.this thing should have loads of bottomend.

I run a comparison with the my LRD and my neighbors FMF Fatty. I could tell no differnce between the two. I will soon be trying a ESR, and I will let you know how that turns out.

I got the fmf fatty on my 85'atc250r. I also was drawn by the price and was not dissapointed by performace. It has great bottom end, and good top end too. But the best part of fmf pipes is the look and sound.
