If you had to give up everything just to have the perfect jumping Raptor, what would you do? What worked and and what didn't on your 400ex, 250r, banshee?

I am so tired of having to jump perfectly to keep from bottoming out. I am in pursuit of a bottomless quad. I was thinking either Elka or TCS shocks on the front but am willing to go another direction if it is better. I really don't want to change the a-arms but I will if it is required. I am willing to give up handling on the rest of the track (cornering, whoops, etc.) or trails to be able to jump. Money is an object but I would rather spend $1,000 on shocks that work than $700 on shocks that don't - I have a quad that can't be jumped now so adding another $700 that doesn't solve the problem will hurt even more.

Given that I am 6'6" and 192lbs, lowering the quads weight is probably a consideration. Is it better to save weight above the shocks or below the shocks? Meaning would it be better to save weight by getting carbon fiber wheels and/or a titanium axle, or lowering the weight of the engine, handlebars, etc. I know there is a difference but not sure how it relates strictly to landing from jumps.

By the way, I pretty much ride on hard packed surfaces.

Any suggestions based on experience would be appreciated.

I'm 6'0 and 215 and put elka's on the front of mine. Triple rate with remote resevoirs. If you go with rebound adjustment you lose a little travel. I jumped it 45 ft at about 4-5 ft in the air and nose dived the landing and didn't bottom out the front shocks. Now all I need to do is get the dual rate rear and I'll be happy.
