I am thinking of buying a 87 R with a CT 310 kit for $6000(Canadian) and was wondering if it is worth it and do they have alot more power than min now would?

Unless your engine is highly modified, YES the 310 will have lots more power, expecially more bottom end pulling power. You will definetly notice the difference.

the 310 Pro-X cylinders that CT sells as part of their 'kits' might as well be stock ported, as the porting CT does to them doesn't really do much.

it will probably have more low end than a stock setup, but a nicely ported stock cylinder is still the way to go in my opinion, but hey, if it comes on the bike, by all means buy the bike and have the cylinder ported by someone that knows what they're doing.
