Finally!!!!!!!!!
An OEM manufacturer producing a quad with beadlocks, 18" mx tires, +2 a-arms, wide axle, ZPS shocks, etc... is truly unbelievable. I swear to God that I was going to call the closest dealer now to put in my order but I realized that it says price not yet available. I guess I better wait until a price is announced, but you can't build a comparable full race 400EX for less than $12,000. Yes I am drooling all over my keyboard. I wonder when they will start producing these 2002 models?

If the race or performance enthusiast doesn't support Cannondale by taking a serious look at buying one of these quad they are crazy. Honda and Yamaha build great quads but they will never do what Cannondale is now offering. I still can't believe it.

Yes GaryManilow you got your wish, they upped the rev limit to make it the same as the MX bike. They still list improved EFI mapping to give it more bottom end (they left out the "more user friendly" phrase) but I think its the same changes they made to the Cannibal.

Blodg, its not "my wish" but more of an observation, which has been proven to be a good one.I'll bet the mapping will be different on the Racers.

I was so close to ordering shocks, suspension parts, big bore kit, and a bunch of other stuff for my R, around 4 grand worth. Now, I am wondering if I should use that for a DOWN PAYMENT! The thing to key on here, gentleman, is that they know boast improved adjusting/tuning of these machines. This is great news. Gary, with digital fuel injection, you can tune for low end as well as killer top end. Since the computer controls the fuel mixture and the ignition timing, you don't have to trade one for the other. That is how the machine runs on premium pump gas, not a radical cam, but aggressive. Once the initial 'mapping' is done, the user can fine tune to his specific requirements. If the computer is like the design found in automobiles, you won't even have to change for altitude, tempature, or anything else. Computer would sense a rich or lean condition and adjust as needed. I am going to take a closer look at the cross country machine.
