I am thinking about undercoating a new AC.
Is this safe to do?.
The brand called "Rust Check",Iv'e been told,is not as good as the brand "Crown".
Any opinions?

I'm not sure i'v ever heard off anyone undercoating a quad but i work at a new car dealership as a detailer -body man and can tell you that new cars in general do not rust like they used to (better metal and parts being used)and so rustproofing is not really needed,,unless it makes you feel better..
Rustproofing is a way for dealerships to make more money off of you.
Dealerships can charge as much as $400 for rustproofing and may use as little as $25 worth of product and maybe 30 min. labor...

 

I doubt it would need it, but I don't see how it would hurt anything, either. Just be sure to mask off what you don't want covered, like the brakes and driveshafts, to name the most obvious.

 

It should be safe to undercoat. Try testing the product out on plastic first. Some rust proofing chemicals can stain plastics...
Hey kpwhite, my girlfriend is from "The Rock"(Newfoundland). I hope to visit the island some day. Looks like a beautiful place! Humm, she hasn't made me a traditional Newfie Jiggs dinner lately...
