Well, your 250X sounds like it is pretty much set up already. My only suggestion is to practice as much as you can, and get a good feel for the track. Practice everything. This means, starts, whoops, corners, jumps, etc. Most importantly, have fun.

Practice your starts and find out which gear is best to take off in. First gear may make you wheelie out of the gate. It does me. I think that trying 2nd gear, and keeping the revs at about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle would be a safe bet. Just enough to take off without popping a wheelie or bogging. I suggest you try both gears at practice and decide for yourself.

About the tire pressures. I think 2lbs is too low. I would run a good median pressure. Enough to slide well, but still hook up. Test out the pressures on the track. If it slides too much, let out some air. If it doesn't slide enough, put a little air in you tires. Trial and Error. Good luck.

If your going to be getting some big air stiffen up your shocks by adjusting the preload some if you have stock shocks.
