Right now i just have the pipe rev. box and K&N filter. But, I ordered the carb and intake, and should be here in a few days. Some of you say there is a hesitation problem. Is this all of you?? If I have that problem, Do I need that accelrator pump you guys always talk about?? Where do I get it and how hard to install it. And what kind of money???
Thanks

If you got the 45MM carb that came standard, you simply have more carb than needed for such a mild motor. I understand that the accelorator pump may hide the problems with the large carb a little bit, but you would have been better served to go with a 42MM carb. Maybe ELI45 will help you get it tuned right.

The carb will work with the piston cams and valves. The only problem is you will loose a very good amount of low end with the cam and carb. A 3 angle valve job and maybe mild porting will clear up some of the low end. This winter i will be getting, cams, piston, carb, port and chassie mods. It will be a good winter . For everything you add or take off of the machine, there is a compramise!

as far as the hesitation, the pump fixes that, as far as losing bottom end when you get piston and cams, well that won't be a problem if you get torque cams from pami. also i put a vortex throttle and new return spring on mine and moded the acc. pump spring so it still works, turns nice and easy now with instant response when i crack the throttle from idle.

I have the Ron Wood stage 1 kit along with the Team Pami 12/1 piston,.5mm head gasket,HD valve springs, very mild port job, and sport cams.
The 45mm carb was a little big before I added the rest of the stuff.
Now it is one bad *** package!
The only thing that I didn't spank at little sahara was the alcohol bigboys.
