What are the warranty lengths of the various ATV Manufacturers and which ones honor them best?

Pretty sure my 400EX's warranty was for 6mos, but I opted to extend that out 2 more years....for a couple hundred $.
It's already paid for itself: My headlight assembly suffered a manufacturers defect, resulting in a broken (and un-repairable) headlight mount (LAME ENGINEERING, HONDA). Thus, the $180 headlight assembly was replaced under warranty.

I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that nobody has a warranty that goes past 6 months. That is, unless you pay for it. As for who honors it better, that is mainly up to your dealer. If you have a good dealer, they will work with up until the last day of warranty (and in some cases, PAST that last day). It's the dealers call, not the manufacturer.

When I was looking for a new 4x4, I was tempted to get a 500 H.O. because I could get a 5 year extended warranty. (somewhere between $300 & $400). I was only able to get a 3 year extended warranty on a kawasaki. Not sure about other brands.
