well the question is excatly that! what is the top speed for a scrambler??

 

Depends which model, 4x4 or 2x4, which engine, 400 or 500, and which year, '95-'00.

 

I don't know how much truth is too it, and I really don't care for argueing about it either, but a recent dirtwheels test clocked a stock 2000 500 scrambler between 65-68 mph on a straight paved road. Thats fast my friends.

the top speed is impressive. 65+ is about
what im hitting on hard packed dirt.

what about the 400??

 

Big devil probabley a little slower maybe 60 or higher

 

I will back-up a low 60mph top speed for the NON HO 500 scrambler. The newer HO will probably see the high side of 60mph.

 

Bone stock, I clocked my SC500 at 65+ against a DR350 on dirt.

Ican beat a stock 400ex. But when i raced a 400ex with mods i got the holeshot and he came back and beat me.
