I suppose that I'm going to have to get the mag to see what he wrote. Even though I can't afford it.

Well they cut about half of the letter out. I would have prefered to forgo the stats on my quad, if they would have published the whole letter. Basically I was trying to say that they should test Polaris hop-ups more than they do.

I'm sick and tired ("and tired" always follows sick) of having them do tests of quads that no one in their right mind can afford. Gee just what I need, another shootout between two $20,000 machines that I or anyone else on this forum can't buy. I don't so much mind that they, once in a while, do tests on sand machines, or mud machines. However they still refuse to do ANY tests of modified Polaris machines or even hop up articles on them. There has been a lot of changes since they did their last test of hop ups for Polaris machines. You know, I could care less about another test of a 440 EX or modified (read warmed over) Raptors with every bell and whistle on it. Show me what RCR, HPD, HSP and G-Force racing is doing for our quads. If they did, they would probably have to get off of their xenoplilic back sides and do some work.

The absolute worst articles are the tests of the machines they test year in and year out. Every other year they do tests of the Banshee, Warrior, Blaster, Sportrax 400EX and 300EX and Mojave. I swear, they just rewrite the old articles and publish them. Basically, since their appearance, they have had no other changes since they first came out (besides their BNGs). PUHLEEEESE!!!!!

It's like they are afraid to leave Californication, to see what the rest of the country is riding. I guess that people out there in California, delude themselves into thinking they are on the cutting edge of everything, and the rest of the country should follow their example (thank you, but No thank you!) There are 49 other states and a whole world out there to see. Frankly, I just don't care how they do things on the "left" coast.

you are so right the last hop up article they did i thinkwas when they hopped up that scrambler 400 2x4 with ftr parts? and that was like last year but. they have every thing on the 400exs and raptors. alot of people ride polaris and if they did projects on them then many peopl would buy it if they lowered the cost!! but it was nce to see your article in there

Hypersport400XC,

Man i couldn't have said it better myself, i haven't bought a Dirtwheels or 4 Wheel ATV Action since back last winter, your right they just test the same damn things over and over, its about time they started testing hopped up Polaris quads, I hope ATV Sport and ATV Magazine don't get the same way! I'm not waisting my money on the issues that don't have anything worth a damn in them!

And I'm spent !!!!

Yeah i looked at it today in the new 4 Wheel ATV action, they only had about 1 sentence on the point you were trying to get across about putting more hopped up Polaris machines in there, and the rest of the letter was just listing the mods of your quad, they cut it up so that you couldn't hardly even get your point across!

Although I really like to read about the hop-ups i can do to my EX, I would love to also read about the hop-ups you can do to a Polaris. I think polaris deserves more credit than is being given. You can really make those things fly! I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't of seen a few of the highly modified Scramblers drag racing down at Little Sahara,OK. Polaris just simply needs to make a lighter quad!

I am still waiting for Dirtwheels to print my pics and letter. I sent them a huge envelope about 2 1/2 months ago. Maybe one day... if not I will keep sending my pics and letters every month until they do!
