For the next couple of months we are going to get a whole lotta rain and that means more mud!! I've ridden in mud before but not much like I saw today cause we got about 2 inches in about a half hour. We get some sloppy mud and I want some tips to ride in mud cause I am used to ridin in dusty conditions.

Hehe, I live in Yuma and we dont get near as much mud but there is a lot of agriculture here and they keep the fields pretty wet. I imagine your mud is similar to ours. I drove through some the other day on the Mojave and it ate me up! I obviously have a poor mud setup because I was stuck, barely got out! I could use some tips myself (and probably some tires!).

We have just about got rain here in Payson everyday for the last couple of weeks. When i go riding in mud i try to not spin to much so i don't rut up everything.Does it get pretty hot there in Safford.I am now having to ride late in the evening so it will cool off enough.Well have fun riding in the mud and don't get struck by lightning.

It gets pretty hot is Safford. Nothing like Yuma cuase that is just too damn hot. I stays about the upper 100s and I ride either at 5 in the mornin or I night ride. Luckily though I'm going to go to Flagstaff next week for my baseball allstar tounrneys and I'm taking my 400 and stay out there a few extra days. I'm gonna go ride at the volcanoes about 45 mins north of there. I've heard they have some of the longest and steepest hill climbs in the country. I'm eager to try it but I'm not eager to end up in the hospital lol. Monsoons just hit a couple of days ago and so far we have had one day off from rains. Looks like I need more tips cause I got stuck twice yesterday on my Recon.

I have ridden at the cinder pits there in Flaggstaff. You are very right about the hill climbs.A stock Banshee will not make it up some of the mountains. My Scrambler did surprisingly well for a 500+ quad.It should be cool enough there for riding all day long.Well have fun riding and good luck with the all stars.

when i go muddin' with my friend on his 400ex we both hit the mud in 2nd or 3rd gear with a lotta speed and just blast threw it. also we have fun hydroplanning on top of water hehe. that is a lotta fun, gotta becareful though. from my experience i would say hit the mud in 2nd gear make sure u have enough speed as the mud pit calls for, cuase the worst thing is to bottom out, if u have enough speed you'll just blast threw it.
