Hey everyone. I was just wondering who all had a Pingry airbox installed on their 400EX. To you all that do, I would like your unbiased opinions on these things. How do you like it? Was it easy to install? Any problems from it? How do it hold up?

Your input is GREATLY appreciated. I ordered one from Quad Central II, because my stock one is trashed. QCII is a great place to order from. They're very helpful and have good prices. Anyway, I just wanted to know everyone's experiences with the Pingry airboxes. Thanks a lot everyone.

mt400EX,

I don't know the dimensions on the airbox as of now, but here is a link to Pingry's website. Maybe you can find something there or could email them. Let me know.

Also, does anyone have this airbox? Surely someone out there does. If so, help us out. Thanks a lot.

CALDS650,

Do you or have you had a Pingry airbox? If so, could you answer my questions from my first post? Thanks a lot.

I have one for My DS650 as soon as I get it back from Edelbrock I will install it. It will be easy to install it uses the same mounting bolts as the stock air box. The tuff part will be cutting off the old bracket on the sub-frame and due a clean job. All so Check with Aron Wolfe he has one on his 400ex here is his web page http://www.400ex.com/

Is it difficult to move the stock airboot from the stock airbox and place it on the Pingry airbox? Just wondering because I've never done anything like that. My airbox should be here on Friday, so I'll hopefully have it put on by Saturday night.

Anyway, I had another question about this box. Does it affect your jetting at all? I wouldn't think that it would, but I didn't know because it looks bigger than the stock airbox. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not gunna try and ask pingry or anyone else for dimensions. It woudlnt be worth it, they wouldnt give them to me. I made another post, and a post on EXriders, but no one has given me dimensions yet. My friends dad has a machine shop and verry skilled workers to make this for me. My family own a hardware store so i can get the gromet and wires neccesarry for relocation of the battery. I might try to make a scale buy using the pics i have of them mounted and unmounted.
