These are professional quality race ready shocks developed for pro MX riders. Around $800-900 for the rear, around $1000-1200 for the front pair.

Just an option but, have you guys looked at the Elka shocks? I compared many of the aftermarket shocks before buying and went with the Elka's over Custom Axis. Quality and performance are both right there but, the Elka's are quite a bit less expensive as they are somewhat new in the atv world. Elka has been around in the Snowcross arena for sometime though.

I have yet to hear anything bad about Elka suspension - mostly I've heard people say about the same thing as you are saying swytak. I figure I may be in the market for shocks in a year or two, and I always like a good deal on good equiptment. Maybe these will be the ones. I don't think I could ever afford Custom Axis though - I love to ride, but I can't ride my ATV often enough to justify THAT much expense.

Just to add to what swytak said, the people at elka are excellent to work with.

They will bend over backwards to help you out. Customer satisfaction is outstanding (go ahead and email them, you will see a response in less than 24 hrs.). Plus, they have a great product to boot.

Expect a wait of less than a month (about 3 weeks) when you order your shocks from elka. With axis, you'll be lucky to get them in six months.

Don't get me wrong, I have a buddy that has axis, and they're a top-notch shock.

With elka now on the scene, however, axis may lose a few customers.

Just to elaborate on what ogre had to say. While doing some research on shocks, I e-mailed Custom Axis. I asked several question regarding the shocks and had a response from a lady who said he was going to forward my mail to another guy who could answer all of my questions. Well a month went by with no reply to my questions, so I e-mailed them again. I waited 2 more months with still, no answer.

With my expeience with Custom Axis, they must not want nor need any further business, or think their product is so inferior that competition is non existant.

As far as Elka's response, I got all of my questions answered the same day. Once I made the decision to go with Elka and placed my order, I had my shocks before the 3 weeks they quoted. I'm extremely happy with the Elka shocks and would recommend that anyone looking for high end shocks or looking at Custom Axis, consider looking at and speaking with Elka before making such an expensive investment.

I have had the same experience with Elka and the Quad Shop. I got my shocks in 2 1/2 weeks. Price and quality cannot be beat. I have yet to try them out as I won't get back to Tucson until mid-August. But then it is time to get them dialed in and head to Glamis!
