get the blaster. Mantinace wise all the quads are the same, and have about the same reliability. The Blaster with the right rider can do awsome things. The ride will be rough but get outta 1st gear any you will not notic it. The blaster is the most nible machine of the group. It is also the lightest of the group. I also think the blaster will get better gas milage than all the others, stock. Many parts are out for the blaster at a very cheap price to inhance the prefromace to yoiur liking. Go for the gold, get the -blaster-

Even though you have experience on larger quads what can you afford to purchase? If you've ridden the other quads you mentioned you know what they can do. Get the best quad out of them all that you can afford.

FB- YES- At the last MX race all the big-bore 4-Stroker dudes wanted to know what i did to my blaster tho make it keep up. here is my Engine mod list.

Wesico Pro-lite piston
Boyseen Carbon fiber reeds
Bills pipe/scielncer
uni air filter

-yup, thats it. I could hang with them. IT also depends on the rider.-

NO DONT DO IT!!!!! I have regreted ever buying my Blaster. I have been pouring money into it constantly. It doesnt have enough power for me and doesnt keep up with my friends 400 as good as I would like it to.I am a small person also and have it piped ported new reeds.... many many many mods and it still isnt performing as I would wish. My top end had to be replaced after less than 6 months of riding. Thats why I am currently selling it and getting an lt. It had a terribly harsh ride and couldnt even clear half the jumps at my local mx track if I really tried. If I where you I wouldnt waste your time I would get something a little better.

My buddy just bought a raptor for himself and a blaster for his wife. After riding his raptor and my wolverine I figured the "little" 200cc blaster would be dull. It not only blew my wolverine completely out of the water but it impressed the hell out of me with its power. I'm a big guy so I felt a little akward on it but for someone of the right size it will fly. You cant beat the price either, he got it for $3200 out the door. I think you will like the blaster alot.

Good post, its about time somebody gave an honest opinion, I know everybody thats never ridden one thinks "they are small, they cant go fast" but that is not the case, for their size they FLY.. And are quite exilirating little machines..

RdingManiac420, I'm going to guess you bought it second hand from somebody that beat or diddnt maintain it? A NEW blaster will last for a LONG time and have very little if any problems.. This is my 3rd blaster and to date the only problems I've had were a broken reed and a too long vent hose (had to cut it). And they get BEAT, I'm 6th gear WOT 80% of the time. If you ride them fast and hard like they are suposta be ridden the suspension is ALOT better, its bumpy as h#ll if you are going slow. And they are GREAT jumpers, they fly just as high as any other machine, mabe even higher, you've just gotta pin it and not hesitate..

i bought my nine year old son one. there a snappy machine and good for what you pay for them.

yes they only have drum brakes in front but who cares. as you get more money you can upgrade it. i weigh 190lbs and it pulls my weight fine. i would like to someday wide'n it and get a longer swingarm for it but money is tight right now with the 250 r . and when i first started out quad riding thats all i could afford when i was 18. and let me tell you i took care of mine and it NEVER let me down once. i will never cut up the blaster its a fun machine with snappy power!
