What is the biggest safe tire for a sportsman with no lift kit. I do want spacers. I like a pair of 26x12x12. Will they be ok? can i go 27x12x12? thats what i would like.

I have seen 27" on a stock hieght sportsman however every little bump the tires rub the fenders. If you go that way you will also need spacers to keep the tire from rubbing the Tie rod end. If you want oversize I would recomend nothing over 26".

How much is a factory repair manual? I hear they are well written for any type of maintenance or repair. My brother and I picked up the Sportsmans yesterday and boy are they smooth. Having 4 wheel drive is nice!

What year are they? They have a couple different styles of the manuals now. You are looking at anything from $35-$60. They are worth there weight in gold. Personnally I believe they are written better than any brand of manual.

I have 27" Dirt Delis on mine. They do rub when ridding hard, when I first got them they rubbed every little bump, I had to move the floor boards back ah raise the front of the fenders. I was given some bad advice, I wish I would have gotten the 26" If you would like to see pictures, look here.

My Sportsman is a 2001 and it has 2.5 hours on it. It is really smooth and powerful! I am going from a trail Boss 250 to this and MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
