I mean like the connondale,zilla,raptor,tecate ect. ect. 2 or 4 stroke what is the fasteast quad ever in madd production?

 

There is no doubt that the Suzuki LT500R (Quadzilla) is the fastest quad ever produced. Back in '87 when the Zilla first came out, the engineers took a pre-production machine out to some salt flats for a test run. How fast was it? Try 100+ mph.

 

do zillas really go that fast, post awhile back said that they were clocked at 81 mph but i dunno

 

I think that the key word there was "pre-production".

its true the first pre-pro zillas were hittin 100. they tuned em down when they went on sale to the public too.

 

How do you think they tuned em down? Just put it back to pre-pro specs and thats going to be a fast quad.

Yall have left out the fastest "production" quad ever. I was reading an old issue of dirtwheels, and came across the Husaberg 600. It was a production unit in Europe, and they were debating whether to bring them to the US or not. They don't make them any more though. The article said it's top speed(bone stock)was in the mid 80's. Now thats fast...oh yeah, it was also a four stroke.

 

I heard that Quadzilas kick out around 40 Hp.
