When I recently when 4-wheeling in South Dakota, I got 32 mpg, and wasnt driving very economicly. What are you guys getting?

 

I did not do a great job of keeping track on our last ride, but I think I averaged around 32-35 miles per gallon. Like you said, it depends on how aggresive you ride. I know I didn't get that kind of mileage at Silver Lake, but I was always hard on the gas. I will have to keep track at my next ride.

 

Yeah, I still had some fumes in the tank, and some gas in the carb and fuel lines (which gets me supprisingly far) when our sportsman had less then a gallon. They are not good on gas! If I took it easy, I bet I could go farther on a tank!

 

one trip I figured it out to 41mpg. It is accurate because I drove from completly full to completly empty on reserve. A rancher I went with was carrying extra gas. I was also driving conservatively most of the time, so I got good mialage, but I did a lot of wheelies and then some gas leaks out the drain tube. If you really watch it 40mpg is easy to get with a stock bike. it is really hard to take it easy though.

 

yeah, Thats my problem. I had the gas off, and it sat idling for about 10 min. before it killed, and that was just on the gas in the carb afer being trailered over some long twisty bumpy roads!
