questions concerning a 99 sport 400
#1
first off i have a couple questions.
1. i like to do alot of riding at night and the lights on the 400 sport ust don't work good enough, so i was wondering if there where any aftermarket lights I could get for it?
2. I really don't like the yellow plastics on it and was wondering if anybody knew where I could get a different colored set?

crazybob,
You can go several ways with the lighting. You could get a 100 watt H-3 Halogen bulb for the original headlight like I did on my Trailblazer- cost less than $10 at any auto parts store.
Or you could go the way I've gone on my Sport and get yourself some aftermarket lights. You also have the option of getting the Scrambler headlights for your Sport. Check out the interesting way I've mounted my small projection lights to my Sport, by clicking on the link below.
You must remember not to exceed 110 watts of lights. With the electrical system only putting out 150 watts total, you need to leave a little reserve.
For the plastics, you need look no further than your local Polaris dealer. The front and back cabs (plastic) will run you about $200. The hood plastic will run about $20 and a seat cover will run you about the same.

For night riding you really cant beat the new style scrambler set-up, With hi & lo beam and the adjustability they really work out nice, The kit from Polaris bolts right up and connects to the factory harness nice, I just havent chocked up the $125 my dealer wants for the kit but im sure the day is coming
