I have been looking into buying a four wheeler for some time now. I love honda stuff and I am planning on buying a 400ex. But, should i wait till honda comes out with a bigger sport quad to compete with the raptor and other high powered sport quads. Or is honda prolly not even goin to do that. I just want to know if I should wait or get the 400 ex and mod it up...Please help me out guys....By the way..i know this is an overused topic i guess but i cant seem to find a straight answer...

Just my .02 but I think that there will be a 650EX within a year and if they do as good a jod as they did with the 400EX it will be a K/A quad

EV i'm in the same situation as you. I dont think i can wait another year for that damn big quad to come out! I have to be racing by april of next year, and i'm still lookin for a modid 400ex to buy! I don think i'm going to be able to wait!

I really dont see Honda coming up with the 650EX. They've always been pretty conservative. I'm sure they sell plenty of 400ex's. I think it more likely that they'll add a reverse gear or a six speed, possibly bump up the displacement to 450, but I doubt the 650EX will come into existence any time soon. Why not find a good used 400EX, ride it like it is or spend minimal cash on modding it and you can wait and see what comes up then sell your 400 for nearly what you paid for it, used quads kept in nice shape lose most of their value the first year or so. So a 400EX you pay $3800 for now will probably sell later for $3500-3800 as long as it's kept decent. So buy it NOW and RIDE!
