Ok, im gonna be buying a quad here real soon.. sport quad, i have a couple Utility Quads (Arctic Cat 500, Suzuki 300, Honda 400. I have my choices narrowed down to these 2 quads.. The 400EX and the Warrior.

Which one has a higher top speed? Does the 6 speed trannie give the warrior any extra top end speed?
Which is better off the Line?
Which is better for Jumping?
Which is better for Tight Trails?
Which has more raw Horse Power?
Which has more tourque in the higher gears.. (3,4,5...6?)

Thanks

400ex over warrior then Raptor over 400ex. Save your money $$$$$$$$$$ and purchase Raptor.

400ex is way better than a warrior, but yeah a raptor is even better, but seeing how you asked about a warrior and 400ex, I would go with the 400ex.

I thought about buying a Raptor, but i have heard way to many horror stories about em.. i'll give em a couple years to get all the bugs out before i give it any serious thought.

I think im gonna go with a 400EX..

The Warrior is a pretty good all around bike. It's the perfect bike for some people. Reverse is nice too. However, I think that the 400ex is probably better than the Warrior in all of the things that you listed. If I had the choice between the two, it would be the 400ex. Try them both out though, maybe you'd like the Warrior better...who knows. Different strokes for different folks.

i would also say the EX. However, don't count on keeping up with the big bores in drags!

Even though I have a Yamaha, I would have to give the 400ex tops in this category against a Warrior. Keep in mind, if you ever get together with some Raptors, DS650, FX400, or even a Banshee; you will be eating dust by all four atvs. That's a promise.

Since you list "tight trails" I would really stress riding both. I will agree the 400EX is better in most catagories. I also know that people think I am smoking crack when I tell you that for the "tight trails" I like the Warrior better. Don't know why, it just had a better feel to me. Not to mention reverse comes in handy in tight spots. (or when you go to tell you damn neighbors to turn down their music and as you slide into the drive way you get awefully close to their vehicles)

Check them out and then go w/ what feels best. My only last word of advice is that the "best" machine isn't always needed. I know that probably 50% of why I bought a Warrior was cause I didn't need anything better, and at this point wouldn't be able to use it to my advantage at all.

I'm going to agree with WoodWarrior. The Warrior is better on tight trails. The 400 EX is better at everything else.
