Should I buy the FX or not?

Last week i went to look at the FX and it left a lasting impression. Two people that I ride with came with me to look at it. One rides a 400ex and the other a raptor. I liked alot of things about the FX but they didn't. The quad was still in the box and when we opened it up the holeshots grabbed my eyes. After further inspection of it I noticed corrosion on the motor. That was the only drawback that I saw. I ride alot of mx tracks and get wiped by all of the High Performance quads. Is the FX a good track riding bike??? Another thing that worries me is if dirt gets inside the fuel injection.. I would love to hear more info on how it handles and jumps on a track. I love the FX but is it worth it or should I wait????

Sic no quad is perfect and there will never be one not even the Moto 440. Every quad has Its goods and bads even if its just tires or handle bars one will like another will not. An 89 250r is not,an 89 based pro caliber 250r is(for the owner no one else). I hav'nt got a chance to ride on a MX track yet but I think it will be awsome. I have ridden on a SX track and it dose good once you learn the quad. The Speed 440 may be your best bet. If you cant wait then the FX or Cannibal. I would go and test ride one and see what you like and dont like. I know it will be hard but dont just concentrait on the POWER,man its a rocketship! Read trough the forums and see what people are saying dont beleive the mags. Sorry I couldnt just give you a simple yes or no,but if thats what you are looking for then YES buy a C-Dale. FX?

As far as the dirt in the EFI you really don't have to worry about that. The FX has a clear bowl holding the fuel filter right after it leaves the tank. You can see when your filter is getting dirty and change it. A great feature of the FX is it has a dry break connection from the tank to the fuel line. You can change the filter without draining the tank. You also need to keep in mind that a brand new FX's suspension will be very stiff. It takes about 5 hrs. of hard riding to break it in, and it handles much better.

The suspension is a little stiff for me going over bumps at slow speeds. This could be because Im only 138lbs. The faster I go the better it feels. It feels realy well on the track. It jumps and lands realy good dosent do anything scary. My FX is easy to control in the air, with the high compression, quick throttle response, high rpm's, and light weight its real sensitve when air born. Thats good I think. As far as going over bumps at high speed although the suspension works better, the front end is twitchy. The faster I go the worse It gets. I think a steering damper will take care of it.

The front end is a little twichy. If you have you adjust your toe out and add a steering stabilizer the problem is solved.

What the Japanese put on their quads are not front shocks. They look like shocks but don't really perform like shocks. They just go in an up and down motion Kinda like what dirtbikes had in the 50's.
