Check out my pic's. http://y42.photos.yahoo.com/axelpeat

Actual photo's of my family on ATV's having fun. These were taken at Red Dot Trail in Northern Minnesota. The pictures say a thousand words, but I've also remembered some famous quotes from that great ride.

My Wife: "I wish there were more people around, but I don't want anyone to see me like this."

My oldest son: "Dad, is there a Target out here somewhere so we can get some stuff?

My youngest son: "Can I drive so we can get back faster?"

Plus many more. It actuall was a great time. MN just passed the law that adults can ride with passenger kids. There was a few times I did tell them to get off until we went through some stuff but for the most part, riding slow with them on the back was OK.

I put this under the Bombardier site, but maybe should go under another folder.

Fishbones,

Great pictures. Picked mine up this morning. Took it out for a short ride (15min.), came back Idled for about 5 Minutes and went out again for another 15. I noticed that the electric fan never came on, even when I was idling. The over heat light never came on so the service manager at the dealership said don't worry. But he has never ridden one long enough to know when it should come on. I figured that you might have some insight. Oh yea, I see what you mean about the backfire. I'm lov'n it though and taking the Dr.s orders.

Just fire it up in the driveway and let it idle. It'll come on in ten minutes, or so, if it's stone cold, or quicker if it's already warm.

3TV, I wanted to ride the Paiute Trails this Sept at the ATV Jamboree, but just can't do er this year. To much going on. What's the absolute last days you can ride up there before it gets wintery? There still might be a chance... We've seen Drain Bamage and it's not worth it not to wear one. More Pics after this weekend I hope.

Information concerning the fan. I have had some recent cooling system problems and here are the facts about the cooling fan. The fan should not come on until the coolant has reached 220 degrees. It will then turn off when the coolant has reached 205 degrees. When I first bought mine the fan came on a lot, but after I experienced a coolant leak, and all the coolant was replaced, the fan never came on. This made me worried that the sensor had gone bad, but in fact you should rarely see the fan come on if the coolant level is full and it is the correct mixture. My dealer had a hell of a time getting the coolant up to 220. He got it to 190, but it would not go any higher. He ended up taping off the entire radiator before if got that hot,...and he removed one piece of tape and the fan kicked back off again. So my recommendation is that if you notice your fan coming on a lot, check the coolant and you may need it to be replaced. If you are not seeing the fan come on, don't worry, it more than likely just fine. If you want you can try a couple of things, I am pretty sure if you remove the fan connection from the sensor and short #1 and #3 together that should turn the fan on,...also you can try taping off some of the radiator to get it to heat up as I mentioned above.

Hope this information helps, this is all from experience so I am not speculating any thing here.

Thanks Grabs. That makes me feel alot better. I let mine sit and run for what seemed like forever and it still has never come on. I thought like you that I had a bad sensor. It makes me feel good that it dosen't rely on the fan that much to not over heat.
