Bombardier is an interesting company. We are so used to ATV manufacturers that come up with a model and then make it forever we may be caught off guard by Bombardier if they were to Come out with a vastly new and improved DS-650 after only two model years ! No, Honda and Yamaha certainly would not do that. But why else are they so DRASTICALLY cutting the price on their inventory?
They didn't last year. Something's going on.... I smell a new DS, lighter, better steering geometry, better shocks, maybe even reverse.
The stock Bombs have gotten trounced in the magazine shoot-outs, and they must be a little ticked that Cannondale has been recieved better than they have been. We keep hearing about a new two-stroke sport from Bomb, maybe a new DS is in the works too.
You heard it here first......

They may get walked on in the shoot outs but out in the real world Ive yet to see (stock for stock)anything beat it. I dont know about the cannondale but Ive personally raced a raptor with a race yosh and beat him.

I think your right about the price drop though. I dont think they will replace it but rather make it better and fix the things people complain about the most. Then theyll just change the name slightly like DS 650R or somthing just to get the media stirring.

I don't think they will change much, if anything. Maybe the upper a-arms? Wieght reduction? But I think the main reason they are dropping prices is to increase market share. More market share = more advertising, which increases sales. Then they could justify more r and d money to the share holders, and eventually we the consumers will get a new 4-wheeler. That's my guess.

Interesting observation Mr. Fourlix, I know the new BMW 650s on/off bikes use the new 5 valve fuel injected rotax 650 engine. This would be a nice update.

One thing IS for sure, they are dumping their existing inventory. For those of us on a budget, this is a great time to upgrade to a more powerful quad.

I wish Bombardier would make a "Trail Quad" Like somthing just like the Ds650 but a little smaller for tight trails!
The main thing why I will probly get the Raper it is smaller the the Ds,But the DS is a great Quad. The DS is a grat Quad but I like smaller quads I'm 6'3 and yet I still like smaller quads like the Raptor!
If Bombardier would make a smaller quad I would gladly buy it!
