This may be a tad off topic but....

I have question...

A 600+ pound utility quad + rider hits a long straight on the trail and actually hits 65 MPH.
At the end of the straight there is a 6" pot hole thats maybe a couple feet in diameter on the left or right hand side of the quads path. What happens when the quad and rider hit this small bump?

They hit the ground rolling and flipping along with the quad. That's what I think would happen. lol

They do 10 miles in low gear, and thirty mph in high gear. But they have a great ride for those that like to ride all day.

I weigh 215 lbs. and have had mine up to 64 mph BUT I don't think the speedo is 100% accurate. I had the Grizz out and my wife was on the Ruby and at the end of the day my odometer read 1.6 miles more than hers. I don't know which is off yet but will be testing with GPS soon.

Gary660R, just because it will go 64 mph doesn't mean you have to. It's just like any other ATV riding, you ride at your skill level and realize that this is a sometimes dangerous sport. Most importantly you take the blame for any bad consequences. I've wrecked going flat out in fifth on my 440ex was it the quads fault or mine? Most definitely mine. Have I done this more than once? Unfortunately yes but hey I'm a slow learner who likes to go FAST!!

In response to the pot hole thing, it does the same thing a dirt bike or a 660 raptor does. It freakin wrecks. Thank you mother for the valuable lesson. I'm sure I learned a lot from it. Pessimistic people! I swear!

As for top speed. I figure it probably varies a little bit from one 660 to the next, but mine will do 60mph. wound out on flat ground.

That was taken with a GPS. The speedometer read 65 and at that point, the GPS read dead even 60.0. I have seen the speedometer hit 69 briefly down a big paved hill, but generally you can count on it winding out around 64-65.
