ARE JET KITS OVER PRICED

i just went to my dealer to get jets the main jets are 2.36 each
the pilots are 6.00 each and needles where about 11.00 the only thing
in the kit that i didn't get was springs the kn jet kit for a raptor
retails for 82 bucks. so what are you paying for instructions???

Most of the time...The aftermarket jet kits include a needle that has a different taper than stock. This allows for that extra bit of adjustability that the stock needles cannot offer. Most of the time, this is what makes the "kit" special.
But your right...the seperate parts do not add up to the cost of the kit.
I guess you have to pay for the "development fees"...IE: the time that the company spent researching the best all around setup. Packaging and included fees for the phone calls to tech support when something goes wrong. Then add on the 100% mark up for their trouble, and you got the inflated price tag.
