Ok, i was thinking of putting the following mods on my blaster:
Vito's degree key ($25)
Jet Kit ($25)
Pro Series Reeds ($45)
Turf Tamers ($70)
K&N air filter+outerwear ($?)

What i need to know is how much this will help (has anyone tried any of these?) will it take/add top/low end and will it help the mid range hit? also will it wheelie better and are there any other part suggestions? THANX ABUNCH FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP EVERYONE!!!

A while ago there were a bunch of people who didn't even think he owned one. I was one of them and am still waiting for proof.

ANYWAY...
degree key-good
jet kit-ok
pro series reeds-ok(I'd recommend aktive)
turf tamers-good if you race, otherwise useless
k&n-good

I wouldnt go with the degree key...especially on a stock blaster. That means you have to take the flywheel off and that isnt good. Another thing is that it will rev higher which is a good chance of blowing it up. It does help bottom end though...ive heard.

As far as reeds...get the Aktive ones from East Coast ATV or Trenga. They are great and help more than the ones you listed...i have tried both.

A jet kit is no good cuz what if it dosent come with the jets you need?? It only comes with like 3 or 4 main jets.

Turf tamers are great tires but have a kind of short lifespan. They are also not good for wet conditions...if they are grooved them it is better.

K&N air filter and outerwear was the first thing i did motor wise...and it helped compared to the UNI. It helped low end power and the throttle response. Also if you do that take tke airbox lid off and jet the carb. The filter and the airbox lid off helps a great deal. With the airbox lid off the top end will just take off and go.

I heard reed spacers are a nice item...and cheap...they help low or mid range.

The blaster can easily be wheelied with practice...it is one of the easiest wheelie quads (i think 3rd by dirt wheels).

How is that a bad thing? It isn't hard to remove the flywheel provided you pay the extra $10 and get the tool. Just make sure you tighten the nut down good or you'll shave off the key and waste your money.

A stock blaster will rev to about 8500-9000 +/-. It won't "blow up" until the laws of physics kick in at about 11,500, so as long as everthing is running fine nothing should happen. That key will only let it rev to maybe 10,000 if you're lucky.
Hell, sreetbikes sometimes rev out to more than 12,000 rpm.

Hey dirt817 and everyone else who doesnt belive me...since you dont believe me... i will make you a deal...you buy an airplane ticket over to my house and i will show you the title with my name on it. if i am lying, i will give you twice the $ it cost for your trip, if not, you get to tell everybody on here i am telling the truth and buy me all of the things that i was asking for my blaster (above) ....that fair??? THE reason i was getting all this stuff for the blaster is because my brother rides it alot and he said he would pay half on any mods i buy for it. this way i figuere i can get a hoped up blaster (with higher resale value) for half the price. I cant stand you people who are always on my case saying i cant handle a banshee. bring your quad over here and i will smoke you. lata.

PS: why in the world would i pput trade for 400ex or scrambler under my sig if i was lying?

dirt817.....ok a degree key i dunno if it revs much high but i do know that the rev limiter was put their for a reason u cannot compare a street bike tto a blaster a blaster is a aircooled engine and if u rev it over10k for a good peroid of time u can kiss ur lil blaster goodbye.... and for a streetbike thats liquid cooled and probley redlines anywhere from 12k-16k

I know it is a different type of engine, but it gets the same idea across. The blaster does not have a rev limiter, but the laws of physics kick in at about 11,500. That means that depending on what kind of piston/rod/crank/etc.. that when it hits about that rpm, you'll be blowing chunks of the crank out of the case because most oem and replacement parts can't handle the stress. My neighbor uses a degree key and it revs a tiny bit higher. He also has a DG pipe/silencer, reed spacer, v-force reeds, vito's piston, and mild porting. His revs way higher than mine, probly around 10,000. Besides, you shouldn't be running wide open for a long period of time no matter what rpm it is. If you're revving it as high as it can go, you're risking engine damage no matter what the rpm is. Even if you rev your 440ex past so many thousand rpm(less than a 2stroke), it can get severe engine damage. 4 strokes can get damaged just as easily as a 2.

<< WHY STROKE IT TWICE WHEN U CAN 4 TIMES? >>

because mine has a POWER stroke each stroke, yours fires every second revolution

Bansheeboy2001: why would I want to pay to come out to N Carolina, when I'd be happy to see a picture of you riding it. I'm not trying to start a fight over this so don't get angry. On the thread where they accused you of not having a banshee, you never proved you did. All I need for proof is a pic, nothing more, nothing less.
