I put a Denton steering damper on my Raptor this past week and I just thought
I'd let you guys who don't already know that it is the best investment you can make. For serious woods riding it's the first thing you should do next to good skids. I found the best setting to be 3-4 clicks out. Not to hard to steer but still stays where it's pointed. Later

 

hey , im interested in that damper. How much was it and was it easy to install and setup.

 

I got it from the quad shop it was $129 + shipping. Marty stocks them for Raptors and other bikes. It took about 20 min. to install and very easy to adjust when needed. Later

 

just hopee you dont lose any parts off it or denton will make you buy a whole new steering dampner instead of selling you the part you need for it

 

I used locktite on every nut and bolt so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the warning though. Later

ON an unrelated note...i am going back to all stock settings. i am dropping my pipe and airfilter for the moment. i can't get anything to run right. maybe one day you can show me in realtime..(when we ride) but right now i am just trying to get the thing to run "like it use to"

this all started with that damn pipe!!!!!

Are you sure nothing has got messed up while taking it apart or
back together? Does it run? If so how does it run what is your

i didn't touch anything except the main jets and the screws so its just a matter of doing it correctly. she will start up but it sounds like the idle is real high. Any time i turn the idle adjustment it dosn't really make a difference..i think i have to go back and adjust the screws again...when i get on her she runs but she dosn't have that HIT like before..the plug is also white

missing that eye tearing stuff....like i use to get...

 

You did put the Dynojet needles in, right? Because the taper of the needle is different from stock and flows more fuel. E-clip 4th position down from the top of the needle. Make sure you have all the spacers in the right spots on the needle and if it's idleing real high and the idle adj. doesn't really change it you could have an intake air leak. Take carb cleaner and spray it around the boots if the idle changes you have an air leak. Check for cracked manifold boots and sticking or improperly adj. throttle cable. Hope this helps. later.
