Some of you may have seen that my plans for Sand Fest have been cancelled. I would like to see a gathering of DS's though. I'm thinking about a gathering at Sand Mountain over Labor Day weekend. If anyone is intrested, please post here or e-mail me. If people think there is a better place to do this, let me hear it. Our mid western members did it a little while ago, lets see if we can get an even bigger gathering out west.

Knutz,

I don't think I'm 100% familiar with the location of sand mountain - I know I've heard it mentioned before, but can't recall where. Was it in AZ or something?

Well as of now we are planing on going to St Anthony's Idaho. I am not sure as to which sand Mt you are refering to. Is it the one at little sahara UT? If it is maybe we will come down their instead it is about the same distance just the other direction. Little sahara gets quite crasy during the big weekends so that is why we were planing on going north plus it is cooler up their. Their is two DS's going mine and a buddies. I was up their last weekend and their was about 5 or 6 DS's running around so their are a few that go their. later...

Roost Fest sounds cool, but it is also a really long haul from here. 2 days drive each way for a 3 day weekend is a little more than I can do right now. Jeff is correct, I'm refering to Sand Mountain, NV. If your not at all familiar with were it is, it's closest major city is Reno, NV. It seems to me to be the most centrally located, cool spot to ride for all of us in NV, UT, OR, Northern CA area. There may be better riding spots, but this seems to be the most agreeable of them. I'm hoping we can have not just one, but a couple of 760's out there to roost some Raptor's and Banshee's. Everyone that thinks they are going to make it, please let me know.

Big Jon,That sounds good.If things go well on the home front. My wife is due with our first child on the 14th if that happens then I should be able to make the trip but if she goes past the 26th they will induce,At that point I dont think I will make it.I want to introduce my son to the great world of ATVing but at week old,it might be pushing it.I already have the weekend cleared so I am keeping my fingers crossed that everthing works out.I will keep you guys posted
