This is the .190 Douglas wheels, 8"x12" reversed in back with Spidertrax 25"x12.5"x12", and 7"x12" with rear tires mounted in front.
I am trying to get these pics up with a link, but am having a hard time with new dig camera, new software and new experience with PhotoPoint. Meanwhile you can copy and paste it into the address bar...If this isn't working...I think I got it now...Try again if it didn't work for you the first time....

Okay, I think those links are working now, plus I reloaded that one pic from the rear that had a funny digital shift in it. There's also a gps map of the Burro Mountains where we ride...Looks good eh?

It's a pretty tight fit in there. The valve stems are so far in they don't hit anything, but I thing reinforcing rings would interfere with the a-arms in back and the brakes in front. If you are having wheels made, maybe they could set up the valve stems on the outside of the rear wheels? Or reverse/reverse them and have a 53" wide rear track?
One of these manufacturers, like Douglas, needs to put a Grizzly package together. Somebody is going to sell a lot of wheels for this thing.
Is the Kodiak the same way? I always thought the Kodiak was a nice machine, just too narrow. A wide-track Kodiak would be a nice ride, you know, for a wife or a grandpa.
At this point I am so hooked on raw power.....funny thing is a find myself not wanting any more than I already have.... The DS and the Grizz each do their respective tasks extremely well...
Hey, by the way, it took me all freakin' day to figure out this wacky camera and its' lame-o software, then set up PhotoPoint and get the link over here. Whew! So eight hours this time, 8 minutes next time, right? And hey Phil, How are you doin?

Hey fourlix what do you think of the Spidertrax for trail riding and hardpack or anything else? I'm thinking about getting a set and would appreciate any info. By the way great pics.

I think the Spidertrax is a great tire. First, it's an ITP, American made, high quality, same as Holeshots and XCT's, which I have on the DS. Though it is pitched as a mud/trail tire, it worked great at Pismo in the sand and it works great in our sandwashes out here and rocks and fireroads too. It seems pretty tough, and the ride is pretty good too. Plus it is one of the only tires in this size, 25"x12.5"x12". Superswampers are about the only other choice, I had a set of them on my AutoCat and liked them too.
When venturing into the unknown, I take the Grizz, and for working and hauling stuff around the ranch here. When headed out on familiar trails, I reach warp speed on the DS. The Raptor is Skyler's, I don't ride it much now, I prefer the DS, and he hates the DS. We're pretty neck and neck out on the trail, with everyone else way behind. We all like the Grizz, it is like the family station wagon,,with a 426 Hemi.

The rear wheels are mounted backwards with the valve stems way inside the wheel. Luckily, they don't hit anything like the hub or A-arm attachment points. And reaching them with an air hose is no problem. It's 49" wide this way. If they were re-reversed, like they should be, with the valve stems on the outside, the Grizz would be even wider, 53" by my calculations. That's a bit wide, even for out here, but could be fun for sand, and would only take minutes to switch. I'm thinking the front could be wider, it is only 46.5" with the Douglas wheels and rear tires. But the stock tires are pretty lame-o, and maybe some matching Spidertrax, 25"x10"x12", in front would finish it off. I like the square shoulder on the Spidertrax, and everything else about these tires. That would make a bigger difference than spacers, I think, the stock tires are such balloons.
One thing to remember about widening the track on an I.R.S. suspension is the affect on the suspension itself. As you make it wider, you effectively soften the ride, decrease the spring rate, by leveraging the suspension. Moving the tire out creates an increased leverage effect on the shock & spring through the A-arms. (This is not true of a swing arm design, unless you lengthened the swing arm.)
On the 660 Grizz, this is working out nicely, the suspension is a bit stiff anyway, probably not as pliable as a H.O. Polaris, which is stiffer than a Sportsman. So with this set-up it is about like a H.O. which I think is a nice little bonus. No big deal, but I'm glad it's working out. I still think the new Grizz was designed wide like this, then some marketing guy said "make it narrow for the woods guys". And the tires suck anyway. The wheels are really nice, maybe I can make a garden cart out of them or something.
