Hey Guys

Just noticed that when the dealership put my white bros pipe on they forgot to put the pipe gasket back (idiots). Thats the gasket that goes between the header and the slip on. Is there anything i can use in place of this gasket like some kind of heat resistant tape? Thanks

peace

I just bought some Permatex Ultra Copper to seal the header/silencer junction on my full big gun system. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but Permatex claims it can handle 700F and recommends it for high performance automotive exhaust manifold/header gaskets. It was only $4.50, which is half the price of a stock Raptor gasket and looks like enough to share with about 25 of your friends.

joeyd,

Any of this the reason you are in carb HELL (referencing another post on carb boots blowing off)? Just wondering since I have a friend with a 400ex that does not have a tight seal between the tip and the pipe. I don't think his bike is running up to par.

Thanks.
