I just changed to a 13tooth sproket on the countershaft. I had trouble rotating the axle carrier, and soon realized that I had to loosen the brake caliper arm. Once that was off, I Tightened the chain and tightened the swing arm bolts (the ones that clamp the carrier in place). Then I tried to put the brake arm back on, but it was too long. So I cut the arm and drilled a hole in it to make it fit. I know that there has to be another solution to adjusting the chain, instead of having to cut the arm and drilling another hole in it. I know alot of people have the 13tooth sproket, so please tell me how you overcame this problem. If I find the solutuion, I will buy a new arm and do it the right way. Please Respond. Thanks!

You shouldn't have to cut anything! The plate that the caliper mounts to should rotate on the bearing carrier. Loosen both bolts on the brake arm and move it out of the way, then take a rubber mallet and tap on thee caliper to help rotate it and free it up. Use some spray lube around the carrier and that mounting plate to help loosen things up. Its to bad you cut things up.
