QUEST IN WATER
#1
I am thinking about buying a quest but there is little information posted on this machine on the web right now.
One big question i have is how is it in deep water. If you get water in the clutch does it slip. If it does how does it drain and how long before you %100 again.
Also what is the top speed and how does it compair to the new grissly.
I used to be a big time yamaha fan. I own a 1996 kodiak a 2000 kodiak and a 2000 grissly. The 1996 is a great quad but the new stuff is junk. It is not holding up to my hard driving style and milage mostly because yamaha is using plastic and lightweight parts where heaver parts are needed. My old 1996 is built like a tank and so is the engine but the newer stuff is very disapointing and turned me of yamaha.
I love the traxter it was the best machine i ever drove but found it a little slow. I am very intrested in the quest so please help me out.
THANK YOU!!!

I test drove one at the dealer only, I did find the Quest to be a nice quad. The transmission and EBS was great, the engine seemed very torquey. I have not heard of any reports or even comments from other riders or even know of anybody mentioning anything about this machine, it is as if this machine does not exist! It's hard to imagine that the introduction of the Quest has gone so unoticed by the general rider! I guess it got lost with the introduction of the KVF650 and the Grissly 660. I also have owned a Traxter, awsome machine for work and pleasure. However due to circumstances beyond my control, I need an automatic so I chose to trade in on a KVF650. Sorry that this post does not answer your question, I just had to say something about the Quest for whatever it's worth...... MJSTX

You might have to wait a while before someone on this forum buys a Quest to hear anything. I've heard they are fast,(faster top end then the Kaw. twin) but that doesn't really say anything. Everybody is too Grizzly/650 twin crazy to care what Bombardier does.
Everyone was still clamouring how wonderful the raptor was when the DS650 won the Baja 2000 Race, so that was also generally overlooked buy the magazines and general public. (Like whats happening now) Sometimes I feel like a BMW motorcycle owner. There are not a lot of us, but we know we have one of the best products out there. It's a shame not everyone can afford the quality that we have grown acustomed too.
Sorry I didn't answer your question either, but I'm tired of Bombardier ATV's being overly ignored by the media.
