Hi I'm new to this forum,

I just wanted to know if anyone has tryed to convert and knows how to convert a honda trx 200sx from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive? I picked this up cheap and wanted to use this for yard work as well as to beat around on, not looking to get a brand new quad right now.

Casey,

It sounds like you have a common goal with many people who want to work on a project quad: save money over buying what they want. That goal is not really attainable. Custom work is generally expensive. One reason is that you have to buy parts individually and the second is that you often have to rework things you have already done.

it would be a pain to do. you would have to get different front hubs that were built for a 4x4. you need a transfere case to send power to the front and rear wheels. you would probably have to modify the frame quite a bit in order to install the front differential(also needed). then you need to make room for the driveshaft to travel to the front diff. it would not even be worth trying to hook up 4wd on a 2wd quad. too difficult and expensive.
