Don't buy a pipe based on what some magazine tells you is the best. Go out to some local tracks and trails and talk to some owners of different pipes and see what they have to say. Some will even let you ride their machine to see the power difference. I was sent on the White Bros pipe until a guy at Wayne National Forest let me ride his 400 with the Pro Circuit T-4 pipe. I was amazed at the power that pipe added and really liked the sound. I purchased a T-4 pipe for $40 less than a WB and I am real happy with the pipe.

I have the full exhaust Duncan Brothers Racing. It is a double header and pipe all of the way through. I am willing to bet that it will give you the most power and torque. However, it is loud. I am selling my 400ex (just had a baby) I would sell it off of the bike if you are interested let me know.

I would suggest a duncan racing double barrel. Friends wife has one of these and she beats lots of 400ex's. It is very loud though. On the other hand, TC racing just uses a megaphone on a cut stock header with his stroker and bigbore motors and they run awesome. His stroker 400's will whip most 250r's.

I don't know if it would meet sound levels or not. We don't have any restrictions in Oklahoma regarding sound levels. It is loud, I rode it through the neighborhood today and it was very noticable. It does however, out perform any other pipe I have seen for a 400ex. I almost flipped it over backwards on my first wheelie after installing it.
