I got a flat today on the Mojave, they were pretty much worn out anyways so why not get new ones right? Well, now I have a few questions. First off, the stock tire size is 22X10X10. I personally dont like how big they are, gives it a mushy ride and I'm a firm believer in letting the suspension do its job, not other parts. I was looking at the Shredders, Razr, and Holeshots. Are the Shredders much different than the razrs? I couldnt find what ply they were and durability is a concern for me.

The size I wasnt thinking about was 20X11X10.

Anyways, what tires do you recommend?

This will change my final drive ratio, which sprocket should I change? It felt quite strong before like I could go up some teeth (what is it, 1 up front is about 3 out back?). Its stock for now but I plan on piping it really soon so there should be a little more power on tap too.

 

well your on the right tract hear and alot of people will tell you to use this and that but its all on wear you ride and how you ride ... im ethier going to toss a coin or something..to that effect... DIRT DEVILS 22X11X10 SHEEDERS 20X11X10 CHEVRONS 828 22X11X10. bottom line on the three choices.. there are a couple of others but there out of my range. money wise...good luck Jim...........

 

of the tires you listed, i would say go with the holeshots.. they're a little more expensive, but they're proven ,and they last a long time. i would recomend you run Fast Trekker 20x10x10. i had these on my old 300ex, and from my experiences, they are the best four stroke tire you can buy. when i go back to four stroke, the first aftermarket parts i'll buy will be the fast trekkers. and the best part is that they're nearly half the price of the holeshot at 39.99. if you look into these tires, make sure you get the ones with the longer center section.

 

Those look like a more universal tire which is probably good. I havent been able to find them in that size though.

 

Ive been running the Dirt Devils for a month now and am really impressed, The 6ply case is so much stronger than the Titans I was running before, They are a relly tough tire and seem well suited for any kind of weather I have thrown at them, I got a pretty good deal at $176 delivered for all four and cant complain about anything yet. I thought hard about the holeshot or bandit 6ply's but cant justify spending $300 plus on tires for my quad, Anyway you go though I would deffinetly go with 6ply tires to eliminate all the needless B.S. from thorns and such, I have went from plugging and patching evry ride to zero repairs with the D.D. I would recommend Razr's on your Mojave. that is all I run and they have been very tuff and can handle all most anything. I would recommend going up 1 tooth on the front sprocket only if you went down to 18's on the rear.

 

I'm running Razrs on my Y2K Mojave. 21x7x10 6ply on the front, 20x11x10 4ply on the back. Since there was a drop in size on the rear, I went ahead and installed a 13 tooth front sprocket. One thing to keep in mind, if you increase the width on the rear (as I did, stock rears are 22x10x10) you will need spacers or a longer axle or off set rims. There is not a lot of clearence and the increase in width will cause the tires to hit the silencer and utility box. I went with Dura Blue 1 1/2 inch spacers and everything works great.
