Did you torque to the specs ? A good torque wrench is a must just being off by 5 or ft pounds will make a diff
Did you loosen the rear brake caliper before you adjusted it ?
I am just grasping at the obvious not to say you did not do it right.......More like I do not Know this is all I can think of.....Good Luck

You guys all need to make sure that you swing arm bushings dont have any play in them.
If you jack up the rear of the ATV,grab BOTH rear tires and try and move them side to side.Look at your rear chain and sprocket when you do this.Does the tension on the chain change?If so,look for play in the swing arm bushings.This is the two spots in the front of the swing arm where you grease the ATV.There should be NO slop in this arm.If there is,this will cause your chain to give differant tensions at differant times.You could also have defective axle bearings.
