Just bought a used 2001 Rancher 350 4X4 and than found this fourm.
After doing some reading I have noticed some talk about recalls on clutch plates and A arms.Is there a way to tell if those recalls have been done.

The easiest way would be to call the local honda dealer with your quad's identification number and ask them to run it. They should be able to call honda and tell whether it's had the recalls done or not. You can look at the front end and see the a-arm brackets so it's easy to tell if that's been done if you know what you're looking for, they're pretty hard to spot if you don't know what to look for. Maybe someone will post a picture of them but I don't even know how to start to describe what to look for. The shifter plate doesn't look any different from the old one so there's no way to tell if it's been done or not. Call honda with your VIN and they'll be able to tell you.
