Killer,

You sure take a lot of **** on here! Anyway, are you getting just reeds or the whole reed valve? If yoou are gettin the whole deal, then get the Delta V-force. If not, maybe get some boysen reeds for your stock cage. Another alternative is to run a CR250r reed cage, they are supposed to be way better than stock TRX but less costly than aftermarket.

Killer,

No prob, I am always willin to help someone who went from a 300ex/250x to an R. Its culture shock for sure, double the power double the fun, and triple the work! Those 300ex and 250x are pretty well bulletproof, you can ride them hard as hell all day and not have a problem, change the oil once a year, no problem, jump them till you blow out all shocks, all you got is blown shocks and sore ankles.
On the R, you work on it as much as you ride it, jetting, fouled plugs, all that good stuff. They are worth it though, get used to the 2-stroke power and you will never go back!

You can get some Boyesen reeds and put them on your stock cage for about $30. The Delta V-Force with cage and all will set you back over $200 but they're probably the best reeds ever. What you will notice with the new reeds is that the power band doesn't have the "hit" that you have felt before; it's all there, but much smoother power delivery.
A good pipe for low end will also help. I know a lot of people bad-mouth the FMF Fatty, but it really works well for bottom-end and it's not expensive. I mention this because you can deplete your bank account and run up a credit card (hmmmm, I've never done that!).
You're trying to get this to breathe well which is a major thing to do for performance. Pipe, air filter, reeds, jetting. Get those right and it'll really run much better.

I would reccomend the Paul Turner Pyramid Reed Valve. They help the entire powerband out immensely. I am with rhino99. I will try and help you anyway that i can.

I would second the motion for the Paul Turner Pyramid valve! "Duncan Racing, the leader in reed valve technology." That's their motto.

If you are getting the ESR pipe, maybe you should consider the ESR reed valve as well? Just a suggestion.
