Yesterday I recieved a pipe I ordered from HPD for my 500 Scrambler 4x4 And was wondering if anybody else have tried one. It looks like a car muffler and requires some modification to install. I am curious to know if it will hold up before I start modifying my bike.
Any comments?
Thanks

When you buy a pipe from HPD you also get a jet. I bought the pipe w/jet and a clutch kit which was recommended by HPD when using there pipe. I also will be installing a K&N filter at the same time. I will try to install the pipe, jet and filter this weekend and will be having my local dealer install the clutch kit since it would cost me more to buy the tools than to have them install it. Will let you know how it works out next week.

The only tool needed to install a clutch kit is a pair of snap-ring pliars.

The HPD pipe and Dynomax muffler is an excellent choice. It works very well. If you need it to be forestry legal; I don't think it qualifies.
