In what way is the 2002 Raptor axle different ??

The yamaha web site says the rear axle is redesigned. I hope it's at least 2" wider. What changes were made ?? Anyone know????

My dealer told me that it was probably just more beefier.

I don't think it is any wider, but from what I have heard it is just about 5% stronger. I am not sure what they did to make it stronger, but that is the rumor that I heard.

probably beefed it up or used a stronger material to achieve the added strength. You'll probably change it anyway due to it's lack of width.

I hope it isnt any wider! Mine barely squeezes through the gate into my back yard!
( no garage! ) Actually I'll bet it's just thicker on the '02

Yep, I have seen times that I could have used a thicker axle. Not proud of it either.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]
