I have a 90 LT 500R quadzilla and I'm going through alot of sparkplugs. Paul Turner did motor work to it. I'm running 32:1 with 94 octane gas as recommended. When I pull the junk plug it is black and wet. Need some help this is my first 2-stroke. Should mix more gas less oil? When it's not eating plugs it's an animal!

You are jetted too rich. You need to do a plug test by starting hte quad, letting it come up to temp, then running it full bore in like 5th gear and then pulling the kill switch while holding in the clutch and let it coast to a stop. Then pull the plug and check it, if its black, you need to go down a size on your main jet, then try again, if itss still black, go down another size.
You want the plug to be nice brown/tan color.

Rhino99 is right and 32:1 is a decent ratio to run.

Once you get the main jet to the right size, do the same thing at half throttle to determine where your needle needs to be. I like to be a little rich at mid throttle so that when I get off the throttle partially after a long WOT run, it will cool the motor.

If Paul Turner did the motor work, he should be more than willing to give you advice in such matters as this. That is his job.

You didn't mention what type of oil you are running. Most popular brands are pretty good but I would recommend a synthetic.

Currently I'm running Havoline oil. What is a good synthetic oil to use?
I bought it with the motor work already done it has Paul Turner's signiture
on the the motor. Any idea how I can get in touch with him. I tried the net and couldn't find anything. Thanks!

Duncan Racing is an "Exclusive Worldwide Supplier of Paul Turner Racing Products" as the catalog I have states. This catalog is a couple years old but the phone number listed on it is (619)258-6306.

I have never heard of anyone using Havoline oil in a performance two-stroke atv, snowmobile or dirtbike. That alone is enough to steer me away from it. I use Klotz R50 and am happy with it. Before that I used Yamaha Racing two-stroke oil and was happy with that as well. The Yamaha brand is semi-synthetic, I believe, while the Klotz I mentioned is full synthetic. Many people I have talked to also like Amsoil in performance two-strokes.

Are you running havoline motor oil??? If so you need to switch yesterday!
Motor oils contain anti-friction modifiers which make them more slippery.
That is the last thing your clutch needs. I know as I made the same mistake on my LT250R years ago, when my clutches weren't lasting very long. You need an oil designed specifically for your wet clutch. I used Bel-Ray Gear saver oil and it is awesome.

I doubt that anyone could be this ignorant so I didn't ask this question earlier. Are you using Havoline 4-stroke motor oil in your premix? I assume that Havoline must make some kind of half-azz two-stroke oil and that was what you were referring to. If you are mixing motor oil with gasoline and dumping it in your tank, SELL THAT BIKE NOW! If you can't even handing premixing your own fuel, you need to get yourself a more user-friendly atv. THE QUADZILLA IS NOT USER-FRIENDLY!

I am quite sure you are not this dumb but this would definately explain the fouling problem you are having.

Havoline makes a 2 stroke premix that I was using but not any more thanks to the inputI'll be going with one of the suggested synthetics brands. But I won't be ridin for a monthn or so. The chain came off and jammed up on the front sprocket likely I didn't crack the side case. So now that the motor is out I;m going to powder coat the frame and trick it out while it's apart.
