Where to start with raptor mods?
#1
I have a 2001 raptor and am ready to start the mods, I am not quite sure where to start. I have been following the exhaust post and it seems that everyone has a different idea of what to use and what is best, I am debating either using the stock head pipe and doing the carbon fiber gytr slip on or doing the full big gun system.
I am also not sure on filters and jets, I am thinking the dynojet kit and k and N filter.
What do you guys think? I want something to help with the stock gearing between 1st and 2nd and mostly I ride trails.
Any suggestions appreciated.

although this isnt where i started, I would begin with a prodesign intake kit, which consists of a filter and a little plate that blots to the airbox, and i would get anm outerwears airbox lid to go with it, it's just a mesh type cover like the filter wraps. I ordered mine for 99 bucks, not too bad seeing how much better it seals, saving you from work, and engine damage.

Get the CT kit comes with every thing.Headpipe, muffler,Proflow airbox,Knn filter, fliter for crank case and jetts, and drop a tooth up front.Just do it all at one time and be done! The power gain is like WOW.It is VERY VERY fast can not keep the front end down in frist or secound.I have owned modded LT 500 and i tell you what the Raptor with theses moddes would be a good race. The main jetts go from a 140-145 to a 170-175 that should tell you right there how much more air is coming in and going out.A motor is just a air pump more in, more out = more H.P.
