Sorry for the delay in my response. I was going through the old files of
things I haven't responded to, and I found this one. Again, please accept my
apology. I got behind during the release of all the materials relating to
the Sportsman 700 Twin.

I can imagine you anticipated that I might respond by saying I cannot
confirm any rumors you might have heard about a new sport machine. While I
can't tell you if we are working on anything specific, if you haven't see
the October issue of Dirt Wheels you should take a look. While the artwork
is just an artist rendering, the technical information about a 2003 sport
machine does come from a reliable source and what the article states is to
many extents very accurate.

I am sure there will be more updates soon, and you will begin to hear more
about the possibility of a new sport machine from Polaris.

Best regards,

Tim Erickson

this is what i got from polaris when i emailed them about new sport quad.

what do you have removed exacltly to lightens your 400 to 390 lbs?
i'm in pocess to convert mine 4x4 400 into a 2x4,and til now with the 4x4 romoved,i got more top speed, quicker accelaration, better handling,
overall performance gains,i've changed eveything to save weights,
sinwgarm,nerf bars,no battery,no electric starter,no oil injection...
i think when i'll get my new transmission,i'll be near 400 lbs,
