New Honda 650
#1
Like I said in an earlier post, honda is getting beat up in the Utility market which probably makes up most of their ATV sales. Here is what I found from ATVNews.com:
Saving the best for last, Honda unveiled the 2003 FourTrax Rincon 650 at its dealer meeting yesterday. The machine is the answer to the Grizzly 660, Prairie 650, Sportsman 700 and Quest 650.
The Rincon is loaded with features, including a fully independent rear suspension, three-speed subtransmission w/hydrualic torque converter and a new 649cc four-stroke mill.
Honda calls it the "SUV of ATVs." A bold statement that is backed up by bold styling. The front end alone looks like any of the modern day SUV one can find cruising the streets. At the heart of the machine is a liquid-cooled 649cc four-stroke that — like other Honda ATVs — is mounted longitudinally in the frame. The rear suspension is fully independent with a swaybar, and it comes with a automatic three speed tranny with reverse. The transmission features a hydraulic torque converter — much like that of a automobile's. The Rincon features Honda's ESP for manual shifting. The weight of the machine is a claimed 600 pounds dry.
Honda added a large seat for comfort and a digital display for convenience. A heavy-duty trailer hitch is available as an option. The Rincon is scheduled for a summer 2002 release.

And hopefully by the Summer of 2002 I will have enough cash saved up to give this new quad a serious look! "Good things cometh to he who waiteth"!, if he "Worketh like Hell while he waiteth"!!
