400EX squeaking on second gear starts.

whenever i get on the gas hard when starting in second gear i hear a loud sqeak noise. i know 400's have weak clutches stock and i don't wanna burn up my clutch. does any1 know whats goin on with this? the squeak scares me a lot its almost like a grinding noise.

When I am drag racing I also start in 2nd. But I never hear sqeaks..

i know...and when i used to ride my friends 400 and start in second it wouldn't sqeak either...thats why its scarin me so much.

Check to see if your sprocket or brake disc is rubbing on the skidplate. You'd probably only hear it at low speeds. Also push it around with the engine off to see if it does it then. Most likely you just have something rubbing.

it doesn't have anything to do with the brakes or sprockets or riding at slow speeds. it only happens when i launch from second gear and it sounds like the sound is coming from the engine. also when i push it nothing happens that shouldn't be happening.
