2001 is coming to a close & the Raptor is the reigning king!!!! Without any new high-performance atv coming out; then it's a no-brainer that 2002 will be another year of the Raptor.

The Raptor is the King of the Hill? Maybe the ant hill buddy, but the "hills" i ride, even moded Raptors are still a distant, distant, like waaaaaay back third to the DS and even farther behind the true king, the Banshee... Sorry, call 'em as I see em...

i would say the banshee is the queen of the dunes. for 2 reasons:
1. a banshee is a girl in irish (?) folklore
2. the TRUE king of the dunes in the suzuki quadracer 500.

heh heh i know you all will be mad at me for sayin it but oh well.

I am closer in agreement to Maxima. The "King of the Hill" title has to go to a quad that is in production and has had at least one change in the last 10 years. Otherwise, it sounds like a pissing match at a musclecar show - 454 big block, 426 Hemi, 427 Corvette, 455 Buick blah, blah, blah. I wouldn't count Cannondale out though...but then you have to tack on mods to the other quads so you are in the same price range.

Otherwise, I am with juggalo - the Suzuki 500 has to reign supreme.

The Suzuki 500 is king if you can keep that P.O.S. together. My neighbor has one that is parked more than it is ridden. Let's face it people who bash the raptor are people who wish they had a raptor. It's not a perfect quad, but it is the closest thing to perfect you can buy for now.

I do not have a preference for either the DS, Raptor, or banshee so believe me anything I say is because of what I have witnessed.
When I was at the dunes there were 2 raptors, 1 DS, and 2 Banshees. I saw three different riders jump on each quad and give it a run up chokecherry hill at st. Anthony dunes. Banshees deffinately killed the hill, DS made it up twice, and let just say the raptor didn't make it up once and even when it was close this one time, it flipped because of the short swing arm. It was quite funny actually. This was all fair because I know none of it was driver error if three different guys all tried them.
Sorry but I'm just speaking what I've witnessed. I do like the look of the raptor though.
