Up here in Canuck land, the dealers were told they're only getting one 700 every other month. In any case the local dealer got his first one on Monday. I showed up there at 3:30 right after work.
I took the monster for a rip and really liked the feel. First reports in the Dirtwheels indicate it is a bear and tuff to turn, I on the other had think it handles really well and probably turns better than my 97 sp500. The dealer had a new 5ooHO parked outside as well so we took both machines across the road to a grass field.
We did a total of four races/drags, two with me driving the 700 and two with him driving it. In all four cases, they were VERY close out of the hole, but once rolling the 700 would start to pull and continue to pull, to two or three quad lengths in probably about 500'.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
I'm very impressed to the point where I told the dealer i'll take the #2 machine when it comes in.

 

Was that race against a SP500 for SC500 ?

 

I put it up against a 2002 sportsman 500HO. A buddy told me today that they raced it against two different 650 kawies yesterday and it beat both of them. It will definately easily pull the wheels up.

 

If the race was on dirt I'm sure the Kawi spun the tires bad. The hp for the 650 and 700 should be somewhat close, yet the sportsman is 140# heavier. On pavement it's not likely that the 700 would win. Also, the race needs to go over 55 mph.
