Hey Scooodydoo were are you

Hyper660r, I am just north of Dallas, TX. If you ever make it to Little Sahara in OK, I bring the DS there a few times in the fall and in the spring.
14mins, I have never been to the dunes in Kermit, TX. What are they like? How many square miles? How tall? What is the terrain like? Are there any flat open areas to open up a turbo or is it mostly whoops? Where are decent hotels in the area? Are there any facilities at the dunes, if not how far is the nearest gas station? Is the parking area hard pack, my vehicle won't make it though sand? Do they require a Texas ATV registration? I was planning a trip to the little sahara this month, so I'll have to decide on my plans and get back to you.

Scooby there is either 60,000 acres ore 100,000 acres i can't remember, but it is huge. There are plenty of 500-600 foot places to drag. The parking lot is asphalt. Most of the dunes are not real tall. I went to little sahara 1 time last year. You can get lost at kermit. They are about the same except little sahara had a larger flat riding area as i recall. Last month when we went to kermit for 1 1/2 days we were the only ones there. I put 225miles on my raptor over 3 days. There are rail buggies etc at kermit also. It is about 375 miles from ft. worth. The dunes are 10 miles out of kermit. The hotel are clean, cheap and decent but don't expect to find your sheets turned down at night with a mint on the pillow. There is no fee to ride or sticker required. Not a whole lot of people ride out there. I have never seen more than 300 est. There are some hot banshee's and 250 r's. Last trip saw 1 ds 650, and 1 cannondale. There are a few nice parimeter trails to ride. It makes little Sahara look like a childs sand box. From what i read on the forums little sahara is more serious racing, kermit is more laid back. I never felt like i was going to get run over, into at kermit. Little S. i just did not fell comfortable. To many people in a small space.
