Like to say hello to everyone,a rookie to the board. Got a question thinking about buying a new ATV in the 400 to 500 series. Have never own an ATV so checking on different brands. In your opinion why would Honda be a better pick for me. I will be posting on the other forums for their opinions. Any information good or bad would be appreciated. The atv will be use for joy riding and hunting. Thanks.

Honda has the best reputation for reliability. This is not a biased opinion and can be found in countless publications as well. I own the 'Zuke with the worst rep. in the reliability department (knowledgeable quad guys will know which one I refer to). As far as performance is concerned, you can find better out there than what is offered by Honda. Pick up some atv mags and use them to get a handle on what make and model meets your needs.

 

Most of the time the info on these forum as to which quad is better or best is based on owners feelings than facts. Keep that in mind and read between the lines, good luck.

 

I would look into something with a 4*4 model for it if you plan on doing the hunting with it. Look past the sport quads for that. The 400 has the lowest clearance out of the Raptor and Banshee and you want something heavy duty with reverse for the hunting season.If your looking for something for just fun though, You can't go wrong with getting a 400..I like mine better than anything out there.
