Bent axle looks to have been a large problem...
#1
I have been having major problems with having to change the rear break pads on my machine ever since I bought it last year (as a lot of you have heard me bitching). Finally my axle bearings gave way so I took it to a dealer in Thornville OH, and low and behold what he found out was that the axle was ever so slightly bent and that was my problem. When the bearings went the rear break pads wore unevenly and only on half of the pad which tore up the bottom of the caliper and tore up the rotor. So for $500 later I have ridden 5 times (hard riding at WNF) and haven't had to replace the pads yet, they still look like they are new pads on there. I need to take some pics of the chewed up caliper cause you just won't believe it. We were able to save it but it did need to have new seals put in. That might also have contributed to me having to tighten up the swing arm bolts every other ride (axle vibration).
So now what am I going to bitch about? (this is a good feeling)
